uppon condition that the said terme shall cease and be void if the said rent or any part thereof shall be behind and unpaid by the space of ffifty daies next after anie of the said ffeasts or days of payment aforesaid and the said Robert or his assignes shall att his or their owne propp[er] costs and chardges with in [...] yeares now next comeing erect and build and fully finishe uppon the p[re]misses one sufficient and substantiall house of timber stone or bricke after the manner of an Englishe house two stories high and conteining six roomes att the least and the said Robert or some other able and sufficient ten ant with his family shall from time to time during the said terme of yeares be resident and inhabitant in and uppon the aforesaid p[re]misses and shall during the said terme grind att such mill or mills as his ma[ies]tie now hath or as he his heires and successors shall erect or have within the said late Citty or the lib[er]ties thereof all his and their mault corne and graine w[hi]ch he or they shall expend or use uppon the p[re]misses or being ground shall sell to anie p[er]son or p[er]sons and pay for grinding thereof to the Miller of the said mill or mills for the tyme being the sixteenthe p[ar]t of all [th]e said mault corne and graine and shall during the said terme keepe susteine and mainteine the aforesaid p[re]misses in good and sufficient rep[ar]ac[i]ons and the fences and inclosures of the foresaid p[re]misses and shall yearly during the said terme sett and plant uppon some part of the aforesaid p[re]misses two young trees of oake or ashe fitt and likely to grow to be timber trees and the same or others to be sett and planted in the roomes and steeds of such of them as shall happen to dye shall mainteine p[re]serve and keepe from hurt and spoile during the said terme and shall att his and their prop[er] costs and chardges during the said terme have and keepe in redines uppon the foresaid p[re]misses for the service of his ma[ies]tie his heires and successors one pike and corslett furnished in such manner as the same shal[l] be allowed by the mustermaster of the place where the p[re]misses are for the tyme being And that his ma[ies]tie wil[l] be gratiously pleased to ratifie and confirme this agreem[en]t by his l[ett]res patents under the great Seale of England and that the said Robert shall coven[a]nt and grant thereby for him his heires executors administrators and assignes to performe what is hereby agreed on his p[ar]te In witnes whereof the said Commission[er]s and the said Robert Lawson have putt to their hands the day and yeare abovewritten:

The aforesaid thirtieth day of August the foresaid Commission[er]s for and on his ma[ies]t[ie]s behalfe by vertue of the said Commission and Toby Smithe of the late Citty of Londonderry Mercer and Thomas Andrew of Colerane in the late County of Londonderry younger butcher doe conclude and agree that the said Toby and Thomas and their assignes shall have and hold all those three severall peeces or p[ar]cells of land with th[e] appurten[a]nc[e]s without the walls of the said late Citty and neere the fferry gate there conteining by estimac[i]on one acre and an halfe Irishe measure and now or late in the severall occupac[i]ons of the said Toby Thomas Hammond and Robert Thornton or their or some of their assignes for the terme of one and twenty yeares from the ffeast of the An[n]unciac[i]on of the blessed virgin Mary now last past for and under the yearly rent of Twenty shillings sterling paiable in such manner and att such daies and tymes and with under and uppon such further and the like condic[i]on coven[a]nts and agreements as in the aforesaid agreement made by the said Commissioners and John Hanford beforenamed are conteined In witnes whereof the said Commissioners and the said Toby and Thomas have putt to their hands the day and yeare abovewritten:

The aforesaid thirtieth day of August the aforesaid Commissioners for and on his ma[ies]t[ie]s behalfe by vertue of the said Commission and William Sidney of the late Citty of Londonderry [...] doe conclude and agree that the said William and his assignes shall have and hold [...]

upon condition that the said term shall cease and be void if the said rent or any part thereof shall be behind and unpaid by the space of fifty days next after any of the said feasts or days of payment aforesaid, and the said Robert or his assigns shall, at his or their own proper costs and charges, within  […] years now next coming erect and build and fully finish upon the premises one sufficient and substantial house of timber, stone, or brick after the manner of an English house two stories high and containing six rooms at the least, and the said Robert or some other able and sufficient tenant with his family shall, from time to time during the said term of years, be resident and inhabitant in and upon the aforesaid premises, and shall during the said term grind at such mill or mills as His Majesty now hath or as he, his heirs and successors shall erect or have within the said late city or the Liberties thereof, all his and their malt, corn, and grain which he or they shall expend or use upon the premises, or being ground shall sell to any person or persons and pay for grinding thereof to the miller of the said mill or mills, for the time being the sixteenth part of all the said malt, corn, and grain, and shall during the said term keep, sustain, and maintain the aforesaid premises in good and sufficient reparations and the fences and enclosures of the foresaid premises, and shall yearly during the said term set and plant upon some part of the aforesaid premises two young trees of oak or ash fit and likely to grow to be timber trees, and the same or others to be set and planted in the rooms and steads of such of them as shall happen to die, shall maintain, preserve, and keep from hurt and spoil during the said term, and shall at his and their proper costs and charges during the said term have and keep in readinesss upon the foresaid premises for the service of His Majesty, his heirs and successors one pike and corslet furnished in such manner as the same shall be allowed by the Muster Master of the place where the premises are for the time being. And that His Majesty will be graciously pleased to ratify and confirm this agreement by his letters patent under the Great Seal of England, and that the said Robert shall covenant and grant thereby for him, his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns to perform what is hereby agreed on his part. In witness whereof the said commissioners and the said Robert Lawson have put to their hands the day and year abovewritten:

Toby Smith and Thomas Andrew 152.

The aforesaid thirtieth day of August, the foresaid commissioners for and on His Majesty’s behalf by virtue of the said commission, and Toby Smith of the late city of Londonderry, mercer, and Thomas Andrew of Coleraine in the late county of Londonderry, younger, butcher, do conclude and agree that the said Toby and Thomas and their assigns shall have and hold all those three several pieces or parcels of land, with the appurtenances, without the walls of the said late city and near the Ferry Gate there, containing by estimation one acre and an half Irish measure and now or late in the several occupations of the said Toby, Thomas Hammond, and Robert Thornton, or their, or some of their, assigns, for the term of one and twenty years from the feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary now last past, for and under the yearly rent of twenty shillings sterling payable in such manner and at such days and times and with, under, and upon such further and the like condition, covenants, and agreements as in the aforesaid agreement made by the said commissioners and John Hanford beforenamed are contained. In witness whereof the said commissioners and the said Toby and Thomas have put to their hands the day and year abovewritten:
