p[re]misses and the same with good and sufficient fences and inclosures shall well and sufficiently p[re]serve and keepe as Copicewoods from hurt and spoile during the said terme and upon everie fell that shal[l] be made of the said woods shall new incoppice the same after the manner and usage in England and shall allsoe preserve and keepe uppon everie acre of the foresaid woodground upon every felling and cutting of the said woods soe to be incopiced thirty young storiers and thirty standalls of oake and ashe fitt to make timber trees. The foresaid three and twentieth day of September the aforesaid Commissioners for and on his ma[ies]t[ie]s behalf by virtue of the said Commission and John Redferne of Magharafelt in the late county of Londonderry yeoman doe conclude and agree that the said John [and] his assignes shall have and hold all that messuage or tenement garden and backside in Magharafelt aforesaid and now or late in the tenure or occupac[i]on of the said John or his assignes and and one quarter of the Towneland commonly called or knowne by the name of Magharafelt with th[e] appurtena[n]c[e]s in Magharafelt aforesaid or by whatsoever other name or names the same be called or knowne conteining by estimac[i]on threescore and tenn acres Irishe measure and now or late in the tenure or occupac[i]on of the said John or his assignes and one messuage and kill and backside in Magharafelt aforesaid and late in [th]e tenure or occupac[i]on of Thomas Redferne deceased or his assignes with all waies and passages unto the p[re]misses or anie part thereof belonging or formerly enioyed therewith with the like excepc[i]ons and for the terme of one and twenty yeares from the ffeast of Phillip and Jacob now last past for and under the yearly rent of Eleaven pounds and tenn shillings sterling paiable in such manner and att such daies and times and with under and uppon such further and the like condic[i]on coven[a]nts and agreements as in the foresaid agreement made by the said Com[missioner]s and George Elliott James Patterson William Witty and John Kennady beforenamed are conteined save onely that the said John Redferne is not by this agreement tyed to build an house In witnes whereof the said Commissioners and the said John Redferne have putt to their hands the day and yeare abovewritten:

The foresaid three and twentiethe day of September the foresaid Commission[er]s for and on his ma[ies]t[ie]s behalfe by vertue of the said Commission and John Redferne of Magharefelt in the late countie of Londonderry yeoman doe conclude and agree that the said John Redferne and his assignes shall have and hold all that watercorne mill called or knowne by the name of [th]e mill of Magharafelt al[l]s[o] Magharafelt mill and the millhouse thereunto belonging in Magharafelt aforesaid in the proporc[i]on of land called the Salters Proporc[i]on in the late Countie of Londonderry and all the moulture soake and grinding of all the mault corne and graine att or in the said mill of the ten[a]nts and inhabitants of the severall townelands of Magharafelt the two Townelands of Bally Moghan al[l]s[o] the two Bally Moghans Lackey Killafadda Donomoney Terrymikisie [...]ononeydeisie Killaneere Aghageskyne Donarnon Ballihenner Dromraney Mullabay Tawney Elondonnan Cullshen [and] Morgargie and every of them within the said Proporc[i]on of land called the Salters Proporc[i]on in the late Countie of Londonderry aforesaid and all waies and passages unto the foresaid mill and millhouse or either of them and all damms waters watercourses and waterlayes to the said mill belonging or app[er]teining for the terme of one and twenty yeares from the ffeast of Phillip and Jacob now last past for and under the yearly rent of ffifteene pounds sterling paiable unto his ma[ies]tie his heires and successors into the receipt of his ma[ies]t[ie]s Excheq[ue]r in England or unto the hands of the Receiver of his ma[ies]tie his heires and successors for the time being for the Reven[n]ue of Londonderry al[l]s[o] Derry and Colerane or either of them att the ffeasts of All Saints [and] Phillipp and Jacob [...] by equall porc[i]ons upon Condic[i]on that the said term shall cease and be void

John Redfern

The foresaid three and twentieth day of September, the aforesaid commissioners for and on his Majesty’s behalf by virtue of the said commission, and John Redfern of Magherafelt in the late county of Londonderry, yeoman, do conclude and agree that the said John and his assigns shall have and hold all that messuage or tenement, garden, and backside in Magherafelt aforesaid and now or late in the tenure or occupation of the said John or his assigns, and and one quarter of the townland commonly called or known by the name of Magherafelt with the appurtenances in Magherafelt aforesaid, or by whatsoever other name or names the same be called or known, containing by estimation three-score and ten acres Irish measure, and now or late in the tenure or occupation of the said John or his assigns, and one messuage and kill and backside in Magherafelt aforesaid, and late in the tenure or occupation of Thomas Redfern deceased or his assigns, with all ways and passages unto the premises or any part thereof belonging or formerly enjoyed therewith, with the like exceptions and for the term of one and twenty years from the feast of Phillip and Jacob now last past, for and under the yearly rent of eleven pounds and ten shillings sterling payable in such manner and at such days and times and with, under, and upon such further and the like condition, covenants, and agreements as in the foresaid agreement made by the said commissioners and George Elliott, James Patterson, William Witty, and John Kennedy beforenamed are contained, save only that the said John Redfern is not by this agreement tied to build a house. The foresaid three and twentieth day of September, the foresaid commissioners for and on his Majesty’s behalf by virtue of the said commission, and John Redfern of Magherafelt in the late county of Londonderry, yeoman, do conclude and agree that the said John Redfern and his assigns shall have and hold all that water corn-mill called or known by the name of the mill of Magherafelt, also Magherafelt mill, and the millhouse thereunto, belonging in Magherafelt aforesaid in the Proportion of land called the Salters’ Proportion in the late county of Londonderry, and all the multure, soak, and grinding of all the malt, corn, and grain at or in the said mill of the tenants and inhabitants of the several townlands of Magherafelt, the two townlands of Bally Moghan, also the two Bally Moghans [Ballymoghan More], Leckagh, Killyfaddy, Dunamoney, Terrymikisie, […]ononeydeisie, Killanear, Aghagaskin, Dunarnon, Ballyheifer, Drumrainey, Mullaghboy, Tawney, Elondonnan, Coolshinny, and Megargy, and every of them within the said Proportion of land called the Salters’ Proportion in the late county of Londonderry aforesaid, and all ways and passages unto the foresaid mill and millhouse or either of them, and all dams, waters, watercourses, and waterlays to the said mill belonging or appertaining, for the term of one and twenty years from the feast of Phillip and Jacob now last past, for and under the yearly rent of fifteen pounds sterling payable unto his Majesty, his heirs and successors, into the receipt of his Majesty’s Exchequer in England or unto the hands of the Receiver of his Majesty, his heirs and successors, for the time being for the revenue of Londonderry, also Derry and Coleraine or either of them, at the feasts of All Saints and Phillip and Jacob […] by equal portions upon condition that the said term shall cease and be void
