Digital Humanities is the annual international conference of the Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations, hosted this year by the Center for Digital Research in the Humanities at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

On Wednesday 17th July, Melissa Terras from UCL and I presented the project at the poster session.

The two-hour-long session attracted many delegates, who asked numerous questions and were amazed by the physical state of the document and the ‘magic’ of the digital flattening and enhancement. Many expressed a vivid interest in the possibility of applying the same methodology to other heat-damaged parchment documents in their collections.

We were very excited to present our efforts to such a varied audience and to see the interest that our project sparked.
