of Balteagh in the late county of Londonderry [...] do conclude and agree that the said Shane and his assignes shall have and hold all those two Townlands commonly called or knowne by the severall name or names of [...] and Monigogy with th[e] appurten[a]nc[e]s in Balteaghe aforesaid or by whatsoever other name or names the same or either or them be called or knowne conteining by estimac[i]on eight hundred and [...] acres Irishe measure, and allsoe all waies and passages to the aforesaid p[re]misses or anie part thereof belonging or formerly enioyed thereof with and under such and the like excepc[i]ons and for [th]e term of one and twenty yeares from the ffeast of Phillip and Jacob now last past for and under the yearly rent of ffower and twenty pounds sterling paiable in such manner and att such dayes and tymes and with under and uppon such like condic[i]on coven[a]nts and agreements as in the foresaid agreem[en]t made by the said Commission[er]s and Margarett mc Leland and Robert Mac Leland beforenamed are conteyned save onely that the said Shane by this agreement is not tyed to have and keepe in readines one muskett furnished as the said Margarett and Robert are by their said agreem[en]t to doe and with this further agreem[en]t and uppon condic[i]on that if the said Shane doe not within two yeares now next comeing usually repaire to Churche and in all things conforme himselfe to [th]e orders and discipline of the Church of England that then if the Attorney generall in England of his Majesty his heires or successors for the time being shall under his hand in writing expresse or declare that it is the will and pleaseure of his ma[ies]tie his heires or successors that the said Shane or his assigns shall noe longer hold or enioy the aforesaid p[re]misses that then and from thenceforth this present contract and agreement and the grannt and lease thereuppon to be made shall cease determine and be void anie thing in these p[rese]nts or in the said grant or lease to be contained to the contrary thereof in anie wise not with standing In witnes whereof the said Com missioners and the said Shane Gilduff oge o Mullan have putt to their hands the day and year abovewritten:

The said fowerth day of September the said Commissioners for and on his ma[ies]t[ie]s be half by vertue of the said Commission and Sherry oSheale Donnaghe Bog o Sheale and Hughe oSheale of Drumacose in the late countie of Londonderry yeomen do conclude and agree that the said Sherry Donnaghe and Hughe and their assignes shall have and hold all that Towneland with th[e] appurten[a]nc[e]s commonly called or knowne by the name of Gortcorbes in Drumacose aforesaid or by whatsoever other name or names the same be called or known conteining by estimac[i]on two hundred ffifty and ffive acres Irish measure and also all ways and passages to the aforesaid p[re]misses or anie part th ereof belonging or formerly enjoyed therewith with and under such and the like excepc[i]ons and for the ter m of one and twenty years from the ffeast of Phillip and Jacob now last past for and under the yearly rent of fourteen pounds sterling paiable in such manner and att such daies and ty mes and with under and upon such further and the like condic[i]on coven[a]nts and agreements as in the foresaid agreement made by the said Commission[er]s and Margarett mc Leland and Robert McClelland beforenamed are conteined save onely that the said Sherry Donnaghe and Hughe are not by this agreement tyed to have and keepe in redines one muskett furnished as the said Margaret and Robert are by their said agreement to doe, and with this further agree ment and upon condition that if the said Sherry Donnaghe and Hughe doe not with in two years now next coming usually repaire to Churche and in all things conforme them selves to the orders and discipline of the Churche of England that then if the Attorney generall in England of his Majesty his heires or successors for the time being shall under his hand in wr iting express and declare that it is the will and pleasure of his ma[ies]tie his heires or successors that the said Sherry Donnaghe and Hughe or their assignes shall noe longer hold or enjoy the aforesaid p[re]misses that then and from thence forth this p[rese]nt contract and agreement and the grannt and lease thereuppon to be made shall cease determine and be void any thing in these p[rese]nts or in the Grannt or lease to be contained to the cont rary thereof in anie wise notwithstanding In witnes whereof the said Commissioners and the said Sherry Donnaghe and Hughe have putt to their hands the day and yeare abovewritten:

Sheary O’Sheil Donnaghe Bog O’Sheil and Hugh O’Sheil 23.
