the said term keep and susteine the foresaid messuage and all other the foresaid buildings in good and sufficient reparac[i]ons and shall within seaven yeares now next comeing with dike [and] double quicksett where quicksett will grow and with other good and sufficient fences and inclosures where quicksett will not growe devide sever and make the foresaid premises into three several closes more then the same now are and the same being so devided made and severed and all other the hedges ditches and inclosures uppon or belonging to the foresaid premises shall keepe and mainteine well and sufficiently fenced ditched inclosed and quicksetted during the said terme and shall yearly during the said terme sett and plant upon some part of the foresaid p[re]misses three young trees of oake or ashe fitt and likely to grow to be timber trees and the same or others to be sett and planted in the roomes and s teads of such of them as shall happen to d ie shall mainteine p[re]serve and keepe from hurt and spoile during the said term and shall att their prop[er] costs and charges during the said terme have and keepe in redines upon the foresaid p[re]misses for the service of his Majesty his heires and success ors one muskett furnished in such manner as the same shall and may be allowed by the mustermaster of th e countie in w[hi]ch the p[re]misses are for the time being and that upon reasonable request there shal[l] be allo wed and sett out unto the said Michaell and Bryan and their assignes during the said terme from ti me to time by the Woodward or other officer of his ma[ies]tie his heires and suc cessors rough timber f or building and repairing the foresaid house and houseboote in convenient places within the late county of Londonderry to be spent uppon the p[re]misses and not elsewhere and that the said Wil liam and Brian and their assignes shall within two yeares now next comeing fence encoppice and inclose with dikes and double quicksett ten acres of Irishe measure of the woods and wood grounds parcel of the foresaid p[re]misses and the same fences and enclosures shall well and suffici ently p[re]serve and keepe as Copicewoods from hurt and spoile during the said terme and upon everie fell that shal[l] be made thereof shall new incopice the same after the manner and usage in England and shall allsoe p[re]serve and keepe upon every acre of the foresaid woodground soe to be incopiced uppon every felling and cutting of the said woods so to be incopiced thirty you ng storiers and thirty young standalls of oake and ashe fitt to make timber trees And that his ma[ies]tie wil[l] be gratiously pleased to ratifie and confirme this agreem ent by l[ett]res patents under the great Seale of England and that the said Mi chael and Brian shall coven[a]nt and grant thereby for them their heires executors adminis trators and assigns to perform what is hereby agreed on their parts In witnes whereof the said Com[m]ission ers and the said Michael [and] Brian have putt to their hands the day and yeare abovewritten:

The said nineteenthe day of September the said Commissioners for and on his ma jesty’s behalf by v irtue of the said Commission and Raphe Beck[...]th ffranncis Atkinson and Michael Richmond of Termonaney in the late countie of Londonderry doe conclude and agree that the said Raphe ffranncis and Michaell and their assignes shall have and hold all that Towneland commonly called or knowne by the name of Larganagoose in Termonaney aforesaid or by wha tsoever other name or names the same be called or knowne and conteining by estimac[i]on one hundred tw enty and fower acres Irishe measure and all houses cabbins edifices and buildings thereupon and also all waies and passages to the foresaid p[re]misses or anie part thereof belonging or formerly enioyed therewith w[i]th and under such and the like excepc[i]ons and for the terme of one and twenty yeares from the ffeast of Phillip and Jacob now last past for and under the yearly rent of ffifteene pounds sterling paiable in such manner and att such daies and times and with under and uppon such and the like condic[i]on coven[a]nts and agreements as in the foresaid agreem[en]t made by the said Commission[er]s and Michaell Richmond and Bryan Preston beforenamed are contained save onely that the said Raphe ffranncis and Michaell are not by this agree ment tied or bound to build an house nor to incoppice anie part of the p[re]misses In wit ness whereof the said commissioners and the said Raphe ffranncis [and] Michaell have putt to their hands the day and year abovewritten:

the said term, keep and sustain the foresaid messuage and all other the foresaid buildings in good and sufficient reparations and shall, within seven years now next coming, with dikes and double quicksett where quicksett will grow and with other good and sufficient fences and enclosures where quicksett will not grow, divide, sever, and make the foresaid premises into three several closes more then the same now are, and the same being so divided, made, and severed, and all other the hedges, ditches, and enclosures upon or belonging to the foresaid premises shall keep and maintain well and sufficiently fenced, ditched, enclosed, and quicksetted during the said term and shall, yearly during the said term, set and plant upon some part of the foresaid premises three young trees of oak or ash fit and likely to grow to be timber trees, and the same or others to be set and planted in the rooms and steads of such of them as shall happen to die shall maintain, preserve, and keep from hurt and spoil during the said term and shall, at their proper costs and charges during the said term, have and keep in readiness upon the foresaid premises for the service of his Majesty, his heirs and successors one musket furnished in such manner as the same shall and may be allowed by the Muster Master of the county in which the premises are for the time being, and that upon reasonable request there shall be allowed and set out unto the said Michael and Brian and their assigns during the said term, from time to time by the Woodward or other Officer of his Majesty, his heirs and successors rough timber for building and repairing the foresaid house, and houseboot in convenient places within the late county of Londonderry to be spent upon the premises and not elsewhere, and that the said William and Brian and their assigns shall, within two years now next coming, fence, encoppice, and enclose with dikes and double quicksett ten acres of Irish measure of the woods and woodgrounds parcel of the foresaid premises, and the same fences and enclosures shall well and sufficiently preserve and keep as coppicewoods from hurt and spoil during the said term, and upon every fell that shall be made thereof shall new encoppice the same after the manner and usage in England, and shall also preserve and keep upon every acre of the foresaid woodground so to be encoppiced, upon every felling and cutting of the said woods so to be encoppiced, thirty young storiers and thirty young standalls of oak and ash fit to make timber trees. And that his Majesty will be graciously pleased to ratify and confirm this agreement by letters patent under the Great Seal of England, and that the said Michael and Brian shall covenant and grant thereby for them, their heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns to perform what is hereby agreed on their parts. The said nineteenth day of September, the said commissioners for and on his Majesty’s behalf by virtue of the said commission, and Ralph Beck[…]th, Francis Atkinson, and Michael Richmond of Termoneeny in the late county of Londonderry do conclude and agree that the said Ralph, Francis, and Michael and their assigns shall have and hold all that townland commonly called or known by the name of Lurganagoose in Termoneeny aforesaid or by whatsoever other name or names the same be called or known, and containing by estimation one hundred twenty and four acres Irish measure, and all houses, cabins, edifices, and buildings thereupon, and also all ways and passages to the foresaid premises or any part thereof belonging or formerly enjoyed therewith, with and under such and the like exceptions and for the term of one and twenty years from the feast of Phillip and Jacob now last past, for and under the yearly rent of fifteen pounds sterling payable in such manner and at such days and times and with, under, and upon such and the like condition, covenants, and agreements as in the foresaid agreement made by the said commissioners and Michael Richmond and Brian Preston beforenamed are contained, save only that the said Ralph, Francis, and Michael are not by this agreement tied or bound to build an house nor to encoppice any part of the premises. In witness whereof the said commissioners and the said Ralph, Francis, and Michael have put to their hands the day and year abovewritten:
