[...] Peter Benson [...] Simon Pitts Robert Thornton Thomas Hammond Henry ffinche fower of the Aldermen of the said late Citty, Robert Goodwyn Chamber lain of the said late Citty and Luke Ashe one of the Burgesses of the said late Citty doe conclude and agree that the said Peter Symon Robert Thomas Henry Robert and Luke and their assignes shall have and hold All the fferry and passage over the River of Loughfoile betweene the fferry of Cullmore and the fferry of Dunalonge with full power lib[er]ty and authority to transport fferry and passe over and back againe all men horses cowes corne graine Cattell and goods and all other things whatsoever portable on the said River of Loughfoile betweene the places aforesaid and to receive and take to their owne propp[er] use and behoofe for such fferryeing transporting and carryeing over and uppon the passage and fferry aforesaid all such ffares rewards som[m]es of money profitts and commodities as usually heretofore have binn received had and taken for such ferryeing transporting and carryeing for the terme of one and twenty yeares from the ffeast of Th[e] an[n]unciac[i]on of the blessed virgin Mary now last past for and under the yearly rent of ffourty pounds sterling paiable unto his ma[ies]tie his heires and successors into the Receipt of his ma[ies]t[ie]s Excheq[uer] in England or unto the hands of the Receivor of his ma[ies]tie his heires and Successors for the tyme being for the Reven[n]ue of Londonderry als[o] Derry and Colerane or either of them att the ffeasts of St Michaell Th[e] archangell and the An[n]unciac[i]on of the blessed virgin Mary by equall porc[i]ons uppon Condic[i]on that the said terme shall cease and be voyd if the said rent or any part thereof shal[l] be behind and unpaid by the space of ffifty dayes next after any of the said ffeasts or daies of paim[en]t aforesaid And the said Peter Simon Robert Thomas Henry Robert and Luke doe for themselves and either of them their and either of their heires executors administrators and assignes [...] undertake to mainteine and keepe good and sufficient boats and men from tyme to tyme during the said terme att the said fferry for the s[er]vice of the said fferry and allsoe shall keepe and mainteine the keys and landing places of the said fferry in good and sufficient reparac[i]ons during the said terme and duely pay the aforesaid rent according to the res[er]vac[i]on aforesaid and that his ma[ies]tie wil[l] be pleased to confirme this agreement by his l[ett]res patents under the great Seale of England and that the said Peter Symon Robert Thomas Henry Robert and Luke shall coven[a]nt and grannt thereby for them and either of them and the heires executors administrato[r]s and assignes of them and either of them to performe what is hereby agreed on their parts In witnes whereof the said Commission[er]s and the said Peter Symon Rob[er]t Thomas Henry Robert and Luke have putt to their hands the day and yeare abovewritten:

The said nine and twentieth day of August the said Commissioners and John Wilkinson of the late Citty of Londonderry ffeltmaker agree that the said John Wilkinson and his assignes shall have and hold one smale p[ar]cell of land and a cabbin thereuppon erected without the Butch ers Gate of the said late Citty and neere unto the Cow markett there and in the tenure or occupation of the said John Wilkinson for the like terme and under the yearly rent of Tenn shillings sterling payable in such manner and with and uppon the like Condic[i]on coven[a]nts an d agreements as in the aforesaid agreement made by the said Commissioners and [...]

[…] Peter Benson […] Simon Pitts, Robert Thornton, Thomas Hammond, Henry Finch, four of the Aldermen of the said late city, Robert Goodwin, Chamberlain of the said late city, and Luke Ash, one of the Burgesses of the said late city, do conclude and agree that the said Peter, Simon, Robert, Thomas, Henry, Robert, and Luke and their assigns shall have and hold all the ferry and passage over the River of Foyle between the ferry of Culmore and the ferry of Dunalong, with full power, liberty, and authority to transport, ferry, and pass over and back again all men, horses, cows, corn, grain, chattel, and goods, and all other things whatsoever portable on the said River of Foyle between the places aforesaid, and to receive and take to their own proper use and behoof for such ferrying, transporting, and carrying over and upon the passage and ferry aforesaid all such fares, rewards, sums of money, profits, and commodities as usually heretofore have been received, had, and taken for such ferrying, transporting, and carrying, for the term of one and twenty years from the feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary now last past, for and under the yearly rent of forty pounds sterling payable unto His Majesty, his heirs and successors into the receipt of His Majesty’s Exchequer in England, or unto the hands of the Receiver of His Majesty, his heirs and successors for the time being, for the revenue of Londonderry, also Derry, and Coleraine or either of them at the feasts of St Michael the Archangel and the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary by equal portions, upon condition that the said term shall cease and be void if the said rent or any part thereof shall be behind and unpaid by the space of fifty days next after any of the said feasts or days of payment aforesaid. And the said Peter, Simon, Robert, Thomas, Henry, Robert, and Luke do for themselves and either of them, their, and either of their heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns […] undertake to maintain and keep good and sufficient boats and men, from time to time during the said term, at the said ferry for the service of the said ferry, and also shall keep and maintain the quays and landing places of the said ferry in good and sufficient reparations during the said term, and duly pay the aforesaid rent according to the reservation aforesaid, and that His Majesty will be pleased to confirm this agreement by his letters patent under the Great Seal of England, and that the said Peter, Simon, Robert, Thomas, Henry, Robert, and Luke shall covenant and grant thereby for them and either of them, and the heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns of them and either of them, to perform what is hereby agreed on their parts.
